If you aren't really into cooking here are a few tips that can help you get going on the right direction for the new year!
So many people "don't cook/hate to cook/afraid to cook." But there are also those who "love to cook!"
Maybe some of the tips below can help you love cooking...or at least like!

Click on the picture if you would like to print the free meal planner to the left. If that's not quite your speed you can search for more free samples to print, write meal ideas on your regular calendar, or just write it on a sheet of paper & use a magnet to attach it to the fridge.
KISS - Keep It Simple Silly! Don't overcomplicate things.
Choose a method that will match your personality - one you will actually use!
Example - On the grill cook a triple amount of meat at the same time = BBQ chicken, steak to be used for steak fajitas, grilled chicken salad.
Below are a few free sample grocery lists (click image to print) - again, if they aren't what you are looking for do a shopping list search or just use a sheet of paper.
Grilling, baking, etc.
Don't be afraid to substitute! A recipe may call for tarragon but all you have is oregano - no problem! Or you need zucchini but all you have is green beans - it can work! You can also make recipes healthier with substitutions - when baking use plain apple sauce instead of oil.
Mix things up - it's how you become a creative cook & you never know, you may find some new things you like!
If you are really unsure you can go ahead and do a search for recipe substitutions.
Learn to accept disappointment & DON'T give up! So you made something that didn't turn out like the picture...or like you wanted it. Or you tried a recipe & didn't love it. On the other hand, if you try a recipe & love it be sure to jot it down & put in a recipe or index card box so you can add it to future menus. Relax...another meal will come along in a few hours!
